Our mission is to enhance safety through co-ordinated management of the air traffic in Europe and to ensure congestion in the air does not occur and that available capacity is used effectively. |

New Functions in CFMU for improving flight efficiency and reducing fuel emissions
New functions are established within the Operations Room in Brussels:
The Military Liaison Officer function (MILO) and the Flight Efficiency Support function.

Pan-European Network Service is on its way
PENS, the pan-European communications network service that will allow all air traffic control navigation service providers to exchange voice and data communications in a seamless and integrated manner, has been launched jointly by EUROCONTROL, SITA, AENA (Spain), NAVIAIR (Denmark) and LFV (Sweden) on 28 October 2009.
