Harmonisation of Military Aeronautical Information
HMAI - Harmonisation of Military Aeronautical Information in Europe through the EAD.
Welcome to the webpage of the HMAI Project, aiming at the Harmonisation of Military Aeronautical Information in Europe through the EAD.

The objectives of the HMAI Project are to extend the data harmonisation to military Aeronautical Information and to increase military awareness on the needs and benefits for complete and harmonised data sets. In addition the project will aim to identify exactly the military AIS situation in Europe as well as to support the Military Data Providers in their migration activities to the EAD.

Migration of military organisations to the EAD will improve the availability, completeness and harmonisation of aeronautical information and facilitate the alignment of the military stakeholder with SESAR objectives (in particular related to System Wide Information Management (SWIM), advanced FUA, Digital NOTAM and the Military Mission Trajectory) in the medium to long term (2013-2020).

HMAI Scramble N°1

The first HMAI newsletter, "Scramble N°1" provides the reader the necessary background information at the start of the project, including: project background, objectives and scope, benefits, stakeholder support, the project Task Force and "AiMiL".

HMAI Scramble N°2

HMAI Scramble N°2 introduces the workflows of the HMAI project in more detail. What is meant with harmonisation of military aeronautical information in Europe? What is the involvement of the HMAI Task Force in this endeavour? How is the migration of military organisations to the EAD prepared and supported?
Scramble N°2 provides some answers to these questions in setting out the basis for the project.

HMAI Scramble N°3

HMAI Scramble N°3 provides an update on the activities already taken place regarding the extension of SDO & AIXM as well as the Harmonisation of the Military and Civil AIP. An update on the participating countries as well as an outlook on the activities for 2011 can also be found in the newsletter.
