EAD Data

EAD Data Providers are able to enter data directly into a European AIS Database without any additional processing or transformation by a third-party. Direct entry of the data helps to ensure the accuracy of the data. This data is directly accessible by Data Users.

The database will reach its maximum effectiveness when all ECAC-based data providers have successfully migrated.

AIRAC static data updates are committed in the database and made available to data users 59 days before, while AIRAC Amendments are published 42 days before AIRAC date.
Types of data is available in the EAD:
  Data Coverage
Data Providers use the different EAD components for the creation, maintenace and storage of aeronautical information. They retain full control of - and copyright of - the data they input into EAD.
  Data Provider Area of Responsibilities
The migration of clients to the European AIS Database (EAD) is an ongoing process.
  EAD Client Migration Status
One of the major objectives of the EAD is the improvement of the quality of data.
